    Man-with-bullhorn

    Algona - Camp Algona P.O.W. housed 10,000 German prisoners of war from 1944 to 1946. Learn this story from exhibits and guides. The German POW's also built a Nativity Scene and later gifted it to the City of Algona it can be seen at the Kossuth County Fairgrounds. Highway 169.

    Le Mars - Known as the Ice Cream Capital of the World because Well's Dairy (Blue Bunny) ships more ice cream every day than anywhere else in the world, more than 120 million gallons.
